“Someone Is Waiting for Me at Home” Campaign
With the arrival of spring, when bicycles become an increasingly popular means of transport and recreation, it’s important to remember the rules of safe riding. The “Someone Is Waiting for Me at Home” campaign was created to educate drivers and cyclists about proper behavior on the road, with a special focus on the rules for overtaking cyclists by cars.
The goal of the campaign is to build mutual respect and understanding among road users by spreading knowledge of traffic regulations and promoting safe practices. This helps cyclists feel more comfortable while increasing safety for everyone on the road.
The “Someone Is Waiting for Me at Home” campaign aims to raise drivers’ awareness of appropriate behavior toward cyclists. The campaign is symbolized by special stickers featuring the slogan, reminding everyone on the road—both drivers and cyclists—that loved ones are waiting for their safe return home.
Two outstanding athletes also participate in the campaign—Rita Malinkiewicz and Katarzyna Konwa—who suffered a serious accident during cycling training in 2020. Their story highlights the importance of caution on the road and mutual respect between drivers and cyclists.
Funds collected through the campaign will be used to produce the “Someone Is Waiting for Me at Home” stickers, which will be distributed to drivers and made available in cyclist-friendly locations, including cities hosting PZU Gran Fondo Series races.
We encourage you to support the campaign and join efforts to improve road safety. Together, we can make every journey safe, so those waiting for us at home don’t have to worry about our return.
